About us

Who we are

Rainer is 53, lives with his Dutch wife Amber and his 19 year old son Max just outside of Mainz, Germany. Until recently he was a sales manager in a large packaging company. You can wake him up in the middle of the night for icecream, a good soccer match and a roadtrip in a proper car.

Jan is 56, lives close to Utrecht in the Netherlands and is the MD for a chain of farmstores. Don't wake him up in the middle of the night unless it is for good wine, a padel match and also a roadtrip in a proper car.

So we share a passion for cars and adventure. Having enjoyed hairpins all over Europe as well as fast trackdays it is now time to put our love for cars and driving into some serious action with the Panamericana 100-project.

What we are going to do?

The Panamerican-highway is one of the longest road in the world. It goes from Ushuaia in the south of Argentina up to Alaska, 30.000km, 14 countries, 9 climate zones on two continents.

Our ambition is to master this famous road in 100 days, from south to north in order to have the most favourable weather conditions. The start will be end of February 2025 in Ushuaia and the finish in Produe bay in Alaska, in total more than 30.000 kilometers. Why in 100 days?  That's our tribute to ALS, because when you get this diagnose, time becomes a even more valuable resource. And next to that, we like to be challenged! And 100 days are a challenge!

This is not an organized trip! We will manage everything ourselves, from shipping the car to Argentina to planning the track, insurance, border crossings, you name it.

A Porsche 911 would be amazing to use for the trip but not very smart so we have decided to acquire a Porsche Cayenne. Some modifications have been made to the car to be prepared for any circumstance.

What do we want to achieve?

For sure we will be amazed by fantastic nature, landmarks and different cultures. The prospect of having to figure out how to get around in 14 very different countries makes us nervous but in a good way. And we will be fullfulling a dream we both had for a very long time, driving this iconic road.

Due to the fact that we will be creating (social) media attention during our trip we decided to put it to good use by supporting an important cause, the research for curing ALS. Rainer has experienced the effects of this terrible desease close-by with the passing of his mother-in-law last year.

Our project will include an Instagram channel, website, polarsteps channel and much more. The objective of these media efforts is to attract private and commercial sponsors to raise money.
